FAQs about our Travel Programs
What is the difference between the National and Regional Programs?
The primary differences are: time commitment, cost, and schedule.
The National program are comprised of our most talented players who want to travel nationally to places such as Washington DC, Baltimore, Atlanta, and Pittsburgh. National teams will compete in both single-day "in region" tournaments in the NY/NJ area as well as multi-day tournaments along the East Coast and beyond.
Regional teams will travel to only single-day (either Sat or Sun) in the NY/NJ area.
When are tryouts?
Per CIAC rules, we can not begin tryouts until after the HS State Championships have concluded. Tryouts will begin for certain age groups on Wed, Dec. 1. Each age group will have two days of tryouts. Please see the Travel Tryout link for complete details.
Is there an opportunity to come to learn about the travel programs in detail?
YES! We will be holding 4 informational meetings on:
Sunday, Sept 26 from 5-7pm
Sunday, Oct 24 from 5-7 pm
Sunday, November 7 from 5-7 pm
Sunday, November 21 from 5-7 pm
Registration is EASY! Email us with your name, the school and grade of the player, and the total number of people who will attend the session!
What if I don't make a national team? Will you consider me for a regional team?
YES! Players who are not selected for a National team will be considered for a Regional team. If a player is not selected for any of our travel teams, we would encourage participation in our Winter House program, space permitting.
