CT Impact Volleyball

In the next few days, you will all be receiving an email with lots of information , including the form to select the times that DO NOT work for your family.  Placement times on Dec 10th and 11th are as follows:

Middle School - 9-11am

9th and 10th graders: 11:30-1:30

11th and 12th graders: 2-4pm

If you can not make the assigned evaluation time, please contact us to make alternate arrangements. We look forward to seeing you all on the 10th!

This program is ideal for the player who loves the game, but can't participate in our National or Regional programs. Come experience what hundreds of players have - the CT Impact difference!

The program details are as follows:

• 8 practices -  High School families can choose EITHER the Saturday program OR the Sunday program! NOTE:  ALL tournaments for both Sat and Sun practice days are held on Sundays.
• NEW THIS YEAR: MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS HOUSE PROGRAM on SUNDAYS ONLY!
• 4 in-house tournaments (approx 1/2 day each) against other CT Impact House teams of similar ability.
• Practices are 2 hours each.
• NO TRYOUTS and NO CUTS - this program is open until filled!
• Open to girls in grades 6-12 (please choose either MIDDLE SCHOOL OR HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM).
• NO Tryout fee!
• All coaches are USA Volleyball registered and background screened!
• Players will be placed on teams based on ability, experience, and age through a two-day team placement process.
• Players will compete against other CT Impact House teams of similar ability and experience.
• Each player will receive a practice shirt and CT Impact tournament T-shirt
• Dates of practices and tournaments listed below.

 Cost: $525 if registered before 8/31

            $560 if register during month of September

            $600 if register 10/1 or after.

1. How are players selected for teams?  There will be two days in December where players are evaluated and placed on teams according to ability and position. 

2. You've added Saturdays as an option. What does that mean?  In an effort to meet the tremendous demand for the program and to be as flexible as possible in terms of family schedules, we are offering the House program PRACTICES on Saturday as well. Players will register for EITHER the Saturday or the Sunday program. Players will NOT be permitted to go between days from week to week since they will be on teams. If you sign up for Sunday, plan on all practices and tournaments being on Sundays, etc.  If you sign up for Saturday, practices WILL BE on Saturdays, but TOURNAMENTS WILL BE ON SUNDAYS!!!  

3. You've added a MIDDLE SCHOOL OPTION.  What does that entail?  In an effort to get more of our younger players playing at a higher level, we are thrilled to be offering a middle school House program this year!  The program is for grades 6-8 and will run in a very similar fashion to the high school program.  Middle School teams will compete against teams of similar abilities.  All middle school practices and tournaments are on SUNDAYS ONLY.

4. What is the commitment required? While House attendance is not as strict as our National and Regional travel programs, a player really must be able to commit to the schedule outlined below.  We are planning to keep the teams between 10-12 players so if multiple players are absent, that can signifcantly impact a practice or tournament.

5. Why don't you post the specific practice times at this point?  Practices will be two hours between 9am-7pm (once determined, a team will always practice at the same time). We allow families to select up to TWO timeselots that DO NOT work for them. This form and information will be emailed to all registered families at a later date following registration. We do not allow families to choose their timeslot as we could not possibly accomodate those requests. Players will be notified of their practice time during the week after the second placement day.

6. Do you take into consideration carpool needs when making team placements?  Yes (and no)! As parents, we understand the challenges of transporting kids to various activities so we try very hard to be sensitive to the carpool issue.  We will ask what town a players is from to try to help with carpooling if players are of LIKE abilities. It may be that players from the same town are not on the same team, but are practicing in the same time slot. However, we will NOT place a player on a team that they do not belong on (up or down) just to accomodate carpool. Our first priortiy is that each player have a great volleyball experience where they are challenged appropriately.
